Sanchel Brown is a performer/choreographer/emcee/mother and Hip Hop cultural ambassador based in Philadelphia. Her practice connects the movement language of hip hop and west african dance. Her talents have taken her to global stages as an artist ambassador in Senegal, West Africa, The Philippines, Peru and The Dominican Republic. Sanchel is a 2022 Broadwayworld winner of best choreography of a musical for Theatre in the x's "Dreamgirls”. Sanchel holds a robust teaching practice in community as well as Yale University, University of the Arts, and recently as a Baker Artist in Residence at Muhlenberg College. As a performer, she has had the opportunity to be featured alongside many artists including Tierra Whack and TT the Artist. Sanchel is the founder of Nubienne Productions, a performing arts company with a mission to unite the healing and performing arts.
