DeAunna Blackwell

DeAunna is a multifaceted artist, educator, and leader with a deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and the power of the performing arts. A graduate of The New School in NYC and the American Musical & Dramatic Academy Conservatory Program, she majored in Global Studies and minored in Dance Education, laying a solid foundation for her work in the dance world.

As the founder of Inspired Collective Dance (ICDC), DeAunna has dedicated over 10 years to nurturing young dancers and cultivating leadership skills through the transformative power of dance. She also serves as a board member of Black Platform Dance, advocating for diversity and inclusivity in the dance community.

In her role as "Sunni Shine," DeAunna creates captivating children's music, bringing joy and enthusiasm to families across the globe.

As an artist, educator, and leader, DeAunna is dedicated to utilizing her platform to elevate the experiences and perspectives of Black individuals, while simultaneously showcasing the incredible power of the performing arts. Through her unwavering commitment, she seeks to create opportunities for young dancers to flourish both on and off the stage, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
